A practical guide for temporary adjustments to your Mounjaro dosage.
Are you using Mounjaro (tirzepatide), but your usual pen strength is temporarily unavailable? Or do you need to use an adjusted dose on your doctor's advice? With this click table you can calculate how many clicks on your pen correspond to the correct dosage.
Note: use this method only temporarily, and always in consultation with your doctor or pharmacist.
Each Mounjaro pen contains a pre-set amount of active substance (mg) divided over 60 clicks. With the dial on the pen, you select the number of clicks. The more mg the pen contains, the more mg you receive per click.
Example: a 5 mg pen = 60 clicks. So 1 click = 0.083 mg. If you want 2.5 mg, you need 30 clicks (2.5 ÷ 0.083).
All pens contain 60 clicks. How many mg you get per click depends on the pen strength.
Select your pen strength below and see how many clicks you need.

Setting your dose via clicks is less accurate than the standard dosing. There is a risk of over- or underdosing. Therefore, use the click table only:
After first use, a Mounjaro pen is still good for 30 days at room temperature (max. 30 °C / 86 °F). Store the pen properly and note the date of first use.
Always follow the official dosing guidelines. A click table can be useful as a temporary solution, but it is not intended for long-term use. The accuracy of your treatment is important for your safety and desired results.
