This page explains how to request deletion of your Wellis account and what happens to your data.

How to request account deletion

Choose one of the options below. Using the email associated with your Wellis account helps us verify your identity.

Email request

  • Send an email to support@getwellis.com
  • Subject: Account deletion request
  • Include: your full name and the email address used for your Wellis account

We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required to meet legal obligations. You will receive a confirmation once the process is complete.

What data is deleted

When we delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymize:

  • Account profile data
  • Contact details in the app (name, email, phone if provided)
  • App usage data and preferences
  • In‑app content you created that is not required to be retained by law

Backups containing your data are purged on their normal rotation schedule.

What data we may keep and why

We may retain limited information if required for:

  • Legal, regulatory, tax, or compliance obligations
  • Prevention of fraud or abuse
  • Resolving disputes or enforcing terms
  • Security, auditing, and logging

Typical retention examples:

  • Payment and invoice records: up to 7 years (tax and accounting)
  • Security and audit logs: up to 24 months
  • System backups: up to 30–90 days on rolling schedules

After the retention period ends, remaining data is deleted or anonymized.

Verification and authorized requests

For your security, we may ask you to verify your identity or provide proof of account ownership. If you are making a request on behalf of someone else, please include documentation showing authorization.
